Adelaide Hills 'Camellia Cottage'

Camellia cottage was just delightful. It was warm on arrival and the fireplace was set up ready to go. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The perfect place to unwind and an easy walk to Stirling village. We will definitely return as there is so much more to explore. Many thanks to our lovely host Freya who made us feel welcome.

This home was soooo much better than listing. All the little details made it such a cosy and comfortable stay! The super thick rug, perfect for lying in front of the fire. The gorgeous vintage cups and glassware made our coffees and wine taste so much better. Surrounded by nature, beautiful garden. Would 100% stay again!

Cosy. Comfortable. Quaint. Quiet. Everything we were looking for. We'd highly recommend this property for anyone in search of seclusion & relaxation, but something that is still close to all the delights the Adelaide Hills provide.

Gorgeous upstairs cosy cabin . Best feature to us was the open windows to birdlife and garden in adjacent trees and peaceful garden setting. Simple set up which artistic aesthetic . Comfy bed. Location very central.

Camellia Cottage is such a wonderful place in a beautiful, relaxing area. Little touches such as cheese, biscuits & chocolate were very thoughtful and appreciated. I felt very much at home. The host was very welcoming, ensuring I had everything I needed. I have already recommended to my friends. I shall definitely be back!

Camellia Cottage is a beautiful space in the treetops overlooking a gorgeous leafy green garden five minutes walk from Stirling. It is private, quiet and very comfortable and has everything you need for a stay in the Adelaide Hills. Freya is a wonderful host and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

A perfect stay for couples to get away in winter. The fireplace and atmosphere of the cottage is so cosy at night - and views of the garden are great to enjoy coffee and breakfast in the mornings. The marshmallows and ammenities are a welcome touch and we definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay here. You won’t regret it! If you’re lucky you might even meet Crookshanks the cat who lives downstairs. Thanks Freya - maybe see you again next autumn!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It’s located on a beautiful street, surrounded by greenery and beautiful flowers, and a short walk from Stirling main street. The cottage was thoughtfully styled and had a very peaceful and relaxing feel to it. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Gorgeous garden, lovely space. Excellent hospitality and communication. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches that Freya included, such as marshmallows for toasting and local chocolate (that happened to be vegan!) The fireplace made it feel super cosy and the bed was very comfortable. We even got to say hi to the cat Freya also provided great local tips of places to check out. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved our stay. The location is excellent; the street is stunning and it's a very short and lovely walk into the Stirling main street. There are trees out every window and it was quiet and peaceful the whole time we were there. We definitely recommend staying at Freya's place. And her warm welcome and insightful local tips made our stay extra special.

We loved our stay at Camellia Cottage and can highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wonderful escape to the Adelaide Hills. Freya is a great host and we instantly connected with her. The loft is quirky, light and has so many lovely touches including a great book selection and fresh flowers from the amazing garden surrounding the property. Stirling and it’s lovely cafes and shops is just a short walk away. We will be back...

Great location, loved sitting by the fireplace! Only a 5 minute walk from the main street of Stirling. It had a very homely feel, and the host left a few treats and special touches that really made our stay special. The cottage is above another residence so keep that in mind if you like your privacy, however we loved the feel of the place. The host was very nice as well.

Beautiful property and setting! It has everything you need. The fireplace is a really nice touch in winter. It's a 10 min walk to the Stirling Hotel and it's mostly an uphill walk coming back to the cottage from Stirling. Our host Freya was very helpful.

Beautiful place, a short walk to Stirling which has everything; cafes, shops, pub, grocery and a great playground. Thoughtful touches like cheese, crackers and chocolates on arrival. There is no oven but there is a microwave, and bar fridge. Beautiful position up in the trees. Peaceful.

Cosy cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing stay & was close to plenty of wineries, cafes etc. Cheese, crackers & chocolate on arrival were a nice treat. Would love to return, particularly when it’s cold enough to use the fire place.

This is a beautiful quaint cottage nestled in a well maintained and peaceful garden setting. As you climb the outside stairs you can appreciate the view of the camellias, the gentle flowing creek in the front garden and appreciate the aroma of the wood fires of the hills in winter. The owner, Freya came up to greet us and make sure we could work the air con and informed us of the easy trails to walk to Stirling(so close) and Crafers. She couldn't have been more welcoming. WiFi was great and Freya had installed a smart TV to allow streaming services but unfortunately there were difficulties with the signal which we overcame with our own HDMI cable. We left this attached to the TV for future guests to enjoy as the living area with the woodfire (didn't provide a lot of heat but was lovely to look at) is such a cosy area to relax with a good movie. The window table looks out onto a scene of greenery - very relaxing. The bedroom heats up fast with the air con and the bed is divinely comfortable. We loved the split level, walking down a few steps to the kitchen area (bar fridge, microwave & sink area) and along to the living space. The well appointed bathroom is charming with a stained glass feature. The whole property is very tastefully and practically designed to create a perfect relaxing weekend or short stay away. A complimentary bottle of wine and block of chocolate was a lovely touch. We had a lovely meal at the Stirling pub and enjoyed the coffee shops as well as taking in the Stirling markets on Sunday (every 4th Sunday of the month). We would come back without a second thought!
